Emily Carr

In her Autobiogaraphy "Growing pains" Emily describes her experience of what real happiness is. It was during an easter celebration in her Church, the hymns and chants, the flowers and colours of the hats worn by the women, the celebration of the risen Christ, all gave Emily a sense of tremendous happiness which she described in the words, "It seemed as if all the great outdoors had entered our little Church!
